Preparing for school is a significant milestone in a child’s life. Our OTs focus on developing the necessary skills for academic and social success in a school setting. We work on fine and gross motor skills, attention and concentration, and social interaction, ensuring that children are well-equipped for the classroom environment.
Our school readiness programs also address specific academic skills, such as pre-writing and pre-reading abilities, basic math concepts, and organisational skills. We use engaging and age-appropriate activities to make learning enjoyable and effective.
In collaboration with educators and families, we create a supportive transition plan for each child. This includes providing recommendations for classroom accommodations, if needed, and strategies for effective communication between home and school.

At LEAP Centre, our occupational therapists are committed to helping children develop the skills they need to thrive in the classroom and beyond. Through targeted interventions and collaborative support, we empower children to reach their full potential and succeed in school.
